Ben formed Asset Resourcing in 2005 with a clear vision – to offer clients a full-service recruitment solution that adds real-time value to their businesses and to ensure that every candidate gets the job they want.
Naturally ambitious, Ben’s recruitment career started at Resourcer level, progressed quickly to Consultant and then Desk Manager. He worked for and learned from some of the most experienced recruitment professionals in the industry and took the brave (and subsequently successful) step to establish his own brand with the long-term view of becoming the recruitment partner of choice from SMEs through to heavyweight household names.

As a hands-on manager, Ben is a full-time client-facing consultant as well as being able to manage and motivate his teams to deliver a first-class recruitment service to clients and candidates alike. He often acts as a coach, mentor and sounding board to ensure everyone at Asset Resourcing is motivated to consistently exceed expectations of what they deliver.
Every forward-thinking business looks to embrace technological advancements providing they represent efficiencies in their business model and their service offering. However Ben is conscious that it will never replace Asset Resourcing’s desire and commitment to conduct business face-to-face – the only true barometer of engagement and understanding client and candidate needs and requirements.
An eternally optimistic yet perennially frustrated Sheffield Wednesday fan, Ben is both a proud father to four children and husband to one wife and during regular bouts of insomnia, he spends the night hours on his computer…searching for star candidates. “If the early bird catches the worm, imagine what the nocturnal bird gets”. Quite.
Recruitment is in Michelle’s blood. After eight years as a consultant across the insurance, engineering, technical and industrial sectors and two years as a branch manager, Michelle, along with business partner Ben set up Asset Resourcing in 2005. A bold step that was borne out of need rather than vanity, prompted by experiencing years of bad management and a lack of influential role models.
More than ever before, businesses need companies like Asset Resourcing. While the high street chains will play the percentage game to appease middle management, head office-set targets and shareholders, Michelle and the Asset Resourcing team devote a huge amount of time and energy into finding the right candidates and growing their client base organically. This ensures that everyone who comes into contact with Asset Resourcing gets more out of them than they would get if they went anywhere else.

Michelle has a genuine passion for what she does. The biggest buzz comes from finding a great candidate or fulfilling a client’s brief. It’s not about the financial rewards; it’s about job satisfaction, a commitment to the business, intelligent recruitment and using all her experience to offer a proactive service that gets results.
Outside of the office, Michelle has a wonderfully eclectic range of interests. In between training for triathlons, she reads fantasy novels, can watch An American Werewolf in London and The Godfather over and over and is “the world’s best mummy”, according to her children.
