JOB TITLE County Court Administrator
DEPARTMENT Legal
1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure the timely collection of Resident Debt.
2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION
Reporting to the County Court Manager
3. SCOPE OF JOB
Main Responsibilities:
- Work proactively with all Property Managers to ensure timely collection of aged debts.
- Review of cases from the Credit Control Team prior to the instruction of Outside Solicitors
- Prepare schedule of debts and instructions for Outside Solicitors.
- Liaise and monitor Outside Solicitors and provide instructions on cases.
- Dealing with tenant receipts for cases flagged to Solicitors as required.
- Resolution of disputes
- Assisting residents with their account queries where necessary
- Co-ordinating the credit control procedures with the Credit Control Team.
- Producing month end reports for Line Manager.
- Review and reconcile Solicitors reports on a timely basis
- Processing of in house letters before action and issuing of Court Proceedings as and when required by your Line Manager
- Dealing with Insolvent residents and updating systems accordingly

PERSON SPECIFICATION
JOB TITLE County Court Administrator
DEPARTMENT Legal
1. QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 G.C.S.E.’s (or equivalent) English & Mathematics grade C or above.
2. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years Credit Control/Debt Recovery experience.
- Must have worked in a busy team environment.
- Must have the ability to deal with large debtor volumes and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service and query resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
3. KNOWLEDGE
- Property Management would be advantageous.
- Administration background is essential.
- Previous experience of debt recovery is essential.
- Knowledge of litigation process is desirable
4. TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage own work load.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong administration skills.
- Knowledge of IT Systems and proficient in Excel and Word.
- Ability to work to and meet targets.
- An understanding of Insolvency Law, Bankruptcy Law, Court process and Enforcement proceedings.
