Major Client Accountant


As the front line accountant you will be professionally responsible for all the financial affairs of a select portfolio of major property developments.


• Management of 2 Client Accountants.
• To fully understand the complexity of the assigned Portfolio of Developments and to take full responsibility for the preparation of annual financial statements ready for review and audit within a 3 month deadline of financial year end and achieves this by a combination of the following: Staff Management / Financial Preparation / Budgets / Treasury Management / Customer Communication / On-Site Responsibilities.


AAT Qualified essential / Membership of ACCA or CIMA expected (Study Support offered)


• Proven experience of working within the Property Sector
• Demonstrates a proven track record of preparation of service charge accounts across complex multi-site developments
• Demonstrable experience of Customer liaison with On-Site Managers, Leaseholders and Developer Clients
• Previous experience of managing a team

• A proven track record of staff management and development including the monitoring and managing of teams and/or individuals against KPI’s
• Ability to carry out VAT analysis, trend analysis, balance sheet analysis
• Ability to prepare graphs
• Strong customer focus, continually aiming to improve service and exceed customer expectations
• Capable of accounts investigation and reconciliation, with ability to report on such
• Excellent organisation and time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrates strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone.
• IT Literate and familiarity with Microsoft Programs including Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel essential


The post holder will need to be flexible as:
a) frequent travel to portfolio sites and other satellite offices will be required
b) attendance at development / resident meetings (typically evenings) may be required
