Our successful client based in St Albans, is looking for a full time, confident Mortgage Consultant to provide an effective and efficient mortgage advisory/placement service. Basic salary is between £14-18,000 with an OTE of £40,000.
Working in a competitive and fast paced environment, responsibilities for the role include:
• Identify customer requirements and complete mortgage questionnaire
• Identify relevant product/lender from Panel
• Provide customer with details of all relevant products.
• Record your advice and recommendation within the appropriate section of the Mortgage Questionnaire.
• Check that any contracts offered, fit within the affordability calculation, as prescribed by the company and mortgage lenders.
• Adopt and follow the companies prescribed interview and sales process.
• Complete all relevant paperwork – adopt and follow the companies prescribed process and administration procedure.
• Maintain regular contact with the Mortgage Business Unit.
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the residential sales team ensuring a constant supply of referrals and provide feedback to the residential sales team at every opportunity, to ensure they are kept informed of the progress of any referrals.
• Provide support to the residential team as and when required.
• Undertake other duties as required by your line manager
• Maximise and develop business relationships with support functions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and directives at all times.
Experience working in a sales environment and customer service interaction is desirable; training for this role will be given. Car owner essential.
