Digital Proposition Manager – Retail Banking

My client's FS division are looking for a Proposition Manager who is either working within Retail Banking or Consumer Lending and has put together Digital Propositions.

• Responsible for development and management of selected propositions (digital channels and with high emphasis on products and pricing) in retail banking offerings
• Ensure the processes, business requirements and user experience are well thought through, analysed and mapped/documented to ensure best in class practices in retail banking sector

The candidate should ideally have:

1. Have deep experience in retail banking (especially consumer loans, overdrafts, current and saving accounts)
2. Track record in developing digital products propositions, especially retail banking products
3. Deep experienced as a digital product proposition manager
4. Good understanding of digital technology
5. Strong analytical skills and problem solver
6. Have excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint and Excel
- Desirable to have experience in process mapping software such as Visio
7. Comfortable working with numbers
8. Be able to work under pressure
9. Have an excellent understanding of business environments
10. Have great interpersonal and communications skills - Tactful and diplomatic

The role:

1. Develop retail banking digital propositions including:
a. products,
b. pricing and
c. channels

2. Proposition responsibilities encompass:
a. defining products (business requirements, specifications and processes)
b. development of products (liaising with internal suppliers and external vendors)
c. define launch propositions (products, pricing and channels)
d. management of lifecycle of products/propositions

3. Manage the development of best in class online customer experiences across multiple channels and platforms
4. Interpreting customer needs and business objectives to produce detailed functional specifications that can be used to drive product development
5. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
6. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following documentations as needed: Functional requirements; Business Requirements Document; Process maps; Use Cases and Interface designs
7. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
8. Work independently with users to define concepts
9. Drive and challenge teams/business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
10. Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
11. Be the liaison between the business units/teams.
