Hybrid Tester / Business Analyst - Testing: Our Client are looking for looking for an experienced hybrid Tester / Business Analyst to join their existing team. You will work with their clients across the UK and be based out of either their London, Edinburgh, Chester or Leeds office.

Who You’ll Be 

Business Analyst: 
• Experience and proficiency in a methodology-agnostic, pragmatic approach to Technical Business Analysis 
• Technical Business Analysis experience (Requirements Gathering, Data Mapping, Data Analysis and Documentation) 
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of relational databases 
Tester: 
• Minimum 4 years experience and proficiency in test analyst or senior test analyst roles, with ability to undertake test lead or management roles 
• Experience of testing in data-driven environments utilising SAS, strong SQL skills, or equivalent data querying languages 
• Practical experience of working in Agile delivery methodologies 
• Good working knowledge of one or more test management tools (licensed or open source) 
• Ability to produce all required test deliverables to a high quality and in line with good practice and appropriate standards 
• Hands-on experience with test planning, preparation, execution and test closure activities 
• Specifying test data requirements and preparing test data as required to satisfy planned test phases 
• Ability to take a given problem, understand the impact, and devise appropriate strategies to implement and address 
• Exceptional analytical and organisational skills 
• Experience in relationship and stakeholder management with the confidence to challenge where appropriate 
• Willing to work on client sites, potentially for extended periods. 
• Willing to travel for work purposes and be happy to stay away from home for extended periods. 
• A graduate degree or equivalent project experience 

What they are looking for 

• Business Analyst Certification 
• Ability to facilitate the implementation of new functionality and the development of appropriate documentation 
• Familiarity with different development methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile) 
• Any experience with test automation is highly desirable 
• Experience of TDD, ATDD or BDD 
• Experience of testing BI/Data Warehouse/Analytics/ETL/Data Migration projects 
• Experience of writing and testing SAS code 
• Exposure and familiarity with different development methodologies (e.g. V-Model, Waterfall, Agile) 
• Full lifecycle testing experience – from Unit testing through to Acceptance Testing 
• Financial Services experience 
• Proactively drive forward new and creative ideas, approaches and tools which benefit the team 
• Strong in risk and issue management 
• Line management experience including mentoring and development of junior colleagues
