Test Automation Consultant

Test Automation Consultant (100% Remote to suit): Competitive Salary | Full Time, Permanent | Location: Remote / UK Wide – Our Client (a fast-growing analytics & testing consultancy) ) are looking for an experienced Test Automation consultant with hands on experience of various automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, Appium, Alteryx, LoadRunner, SoapUI and Postman. Experience working in at least one of AWS, Azure or Google cloud platforms would be highly advantageous.

As a Test Automation consultant, you will be involved in the design and development of both their internal and client test automation frameworks. You will be working with market leading technologies and will be given continuous training on new tools and techniques. Liaising with their clients and working collaboratively is a key part of the role and therefore good client facing skills will be required.

The role will involve mentoring junior consultants and therefore, prior mentoring experience would be advantageous.

You will also be involved in testing their business intelligence and data analytics solutions so knowledge of associated technologies will be beneficial.

Experience and skills

Ideally they are looking for someone with experience in the areas detailed below. Don’t worry if you can’t tick every box, attitude and willingness to learn are equally important;

· 3+ years prior experience designing and writing test automation frameworks.
· Proven experience analysing new and existing systems to identify scope and write acceptance criteria and test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
· Experience of automating end to end frameworks, load & performance testing, Web API Integration, Security Testing and other non-functional areas.
· Previous experience of automating CICD pipelines.
· Knowledge and understanding of development best practice and design in an Agile delivery environment.
· Experience working with Microsoft SQL or other relational database platforms.
· Knowledge of C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP or similar
· Good communication and presentation skills.
· Experience working in an agile consulting team and using tools such as Jira / Azure DevOps.

UX Researcher: Working as part of a multi-skilled team made up of designers, developers, product owners, researchers and analyst; the role of UX Researcher will be to make a strategic focus on improving user experience and will be pivotal in delivering changes to the wider business. You will be applying your knowledge to optimising the mobile app and other web applications, ensuring a smooth booking journey and the best browsing experience possible, to maximise conversion of browsing sessions to bookings/enquiries. As a UX Researcher, you will work conducting user research and analysing user behaviour, in order to improve existing site features and create new ones through A/B testing.

Our Client’s expanding Web team are looking for a Lead / Senior UX Designer to join a multi-skilled team of designers, developers and analysts. The Web team are responsible for a website across multiple channels – optimising them to ensure a smooth booking journey and the best browsing experience possible in order to maximise conversion rates and ultimately help the business to grow.

This role will at an exciting time as the business makes a strategic focus on improving the customer web experience. The team will be pivotal in delivering these changes to fulfil the goal of the programme.

About You:

You will have proven experience of successfully designing aesthetically-appealing e-commerce sites in a commercial environment and have a strong understanding of interaction design. You will have significant experience using design and prototyping tools such as Moqups, Sketch, Framer etc.

You will have a commercial approach to design, and be able to demonstrate the tangible benefit of any design changes made. You will be comfortable working with Agile methodologies in a collaborative team environment.

The Senior UX designer will apply their design skills to create aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly web design – conceiving and implementing ideas as part of a fast-moving programme of change designed to increase conversion – on both project work and regular, incremental updates to the website design.

In addition, the role will mentor and coach other Designers and take the lead in building relationships with the rest of the business to clarify the brand and aesthetic requirements for design, as well as understanding technical impediments in order to deliver the design changes.

Experience of working on large-scale e-commerce sites and using A/B testing methodologies would be very welcome, but aren’t essential. Experience of mentoring or managing a small team would be beneficial.

As their newest Data Analyst, you will be crucial in creating and delivering bespoke analysis and reports in line with requirements and briefs provided by the Commercial Finance team, understanding business objectives and challenges and identifying opportunities to use data to address them.

As their newest Data Analyst, you will hold the following key skills:

DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer (hybrid remote / work from home / wfh and office mix available to suit): This is an opportunity for a talented DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Linux and Cloud Platforms (AWS strongly preferred) to continually influence a DevOps culture in an award-winning employer (within a – relatively – regulation free sector). The team are making extensive use of AWS cloud tools including API Gateway, DynamoDB and ECS as well as EC2, RDS, Elasticache etc and are gradually bringing all of infrastructure under version control using Ansible and Terraform..

Technical Skills (for DevOps Engineer (hybrid remote / work from home / wfh and office mix available to suit):

• Experience of working with AWS to support cloud-based infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of key AWS technologies with EC2 as a minimum.

Data Systems Change & Training Manager (offered on a remote / work from home / wfh or hybrid model to suit your circumstances). 22 month Fixed Term Contract (PAYE). Hours: 35/week. You’ll play a vital role in our client’s fast-paced Data Strategy team helping colleagues across the UK to get the most from their new systems, improving the way they work with customer data and ultimately improving the customer experience.

You are an experienced trainer, both in person and via online tools, skilled in producing materials for and working with colleagues at all levels and with varying levels of technical ability. You understand Data systems and are able to simply explain technical topics in engaging and enthusiastic ways. You have a great understanding of the Theory of Change and know how to build communications plans to support colleagues to embrace new ways of working, to get the most from new systems.

Key focus of the role:

The Data Strategy team is on track to deliver several new system implementations over the coming months including new CRMs and new data reporting functionalities

This role will lead on the development and delivery of comprehensive training & change management programmes to ensure colleagues from teams across the organisation can maximise the potential benefits of our new technologies

Key deliverables:

• Draft & deliver full suites of training materials, procedural guides & UAT script templates for new Data systems
• Work with Internal Comms colleagues to deliver audience targeted communications to encourage system use and embracing of new opportunities
