Data Engineering Consultant: Our Client is looking for an experienced Data Engineering Consultant to join their existing DE practice (target start date – September). Based out of their regional HQ in London, you will work with their – typically – banking / insurance clients across the region.

As a Data Engineering Consultant, you will have expertise in technical delivery, technologies and concepts in areas such as Data Storage, Data Ingestion, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Data Preparation and Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Requirements:

c3+ years of experience in a data engineer role developing expert SQL skills PLUS a range of the following complementary skills:

Experience working with the Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive/Impala, Databricks)
Programming background in Java, Scala, R or Python
Experience of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
Experience working with an ETL tool e.g. Azure Data Factory, SSIS & Talend
Understanding of data modelling techniques e.g. Kimball
Experience working with data streams e.g. Kafka
Experience working with large, structured and unstructured datasets
Experience with database technologies (relational, NoSQL, graph)
Expertise with version control e.g. git

Other:

Flexibility to travel to and work on client sites within the UK.
Excellent track record in executive stakeholder management and developing valuable relationships.

eCommerce Data Manager

My client are already a successful retailer with growing online sales and seek a proactive and forward thinking eCommerce Data Manager / Data Analyst to analyse online channels and use this knowledge to report on / improve performance and trading metrics. The role will involve a fundamental understanding of customer data (both B2B and B2C) and how this can be marshalled to drive online sales.

Your role will have a tangible effect on the development and progression of the business so, if you’re passionate about eCommerce data and the insights it provides then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the business owners, you will use your data acumen to help define and evolve the eCommerce strategy, ensuring that it remains fit for purpose in a dynamically changing digital landscape.
  • Deliver against this eCommerce and digital marketing strategy, supporting management and working closely with third party providers.
  • Manage the data behind the customer journey and merchandising, this will include analysing product promotions and campaigns
  • Conduct regular competitor research
  • Establish performance evaluation & reporting protocols and drive test & learn projects to develop eCommerce capability.
  • Be the company’s ambassador for eCommerce; championing the principles and practises of eCommerce internally by sharing best practice, educating internally and helping to embed eCommerce focus & passion.

Skills/ Experience:

  • Must have minimum of two years’ experience working with successful eCommerce websites
  • Strong IT skills with a good knowledge of data manipulation using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of CRM/ERP systems
  • Driven, with a track record in delivering revenue growth through eCommerce site(s)
  • A B2B background would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and other eCommerce tools
  • Experience working with WordPress, online merchant software (WooCommerce (ideal) or similar (desired)) and MailChimp
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organisation and multitasking skills.

Social Media Executive

As our client’s Social Media Executive, your objective is to successfully manage all their social media output, educating and engaging with their existing / potential customers and, in turn, generating a regular flow of new business leads. You will support the owner’s business growth ambitions through the day-to-day running of social presences, constantly considering ways for new customers to engage with them.

Job Description:

  • To develop new business leads through successful management of the social media strategy.
  • Create and manage the daily social media accounts activity. This includes preparing posts, planning, scheduling posting, online advocacy, community-outreach efforts and partnerships with influencers.
  • Seek out customer reviews and respond professionally
  • Reply to any feedback left in social media comments.
  • Work with colleagues, take pictures and make videos with them, and prepare live streams.
  • Analyse the results and summarise them in a weekly report.
  • Proactively keep up-to-date and educated on social media marketing developments and trends, and, where applicable, implementing these for the brand.

The ideal candidate would:

As the sole Buyer and reporting directly to our Client’s Procurement Manager, you will be tasked with developing positive and productive relationships with all providers of goods and services including identification, recommendation and onboarding of new suppliers.

Energetic and willing to learn, you will demonstrate good judgment and the ability to interpret policies and procedures. You will enjoy analysing and solving complex problems, showing real attention to detail.

Expected Qualification:

  • CIPS qualification LV2 or above

Expected Experience:

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in a procurement role

Core skills:

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
  • Strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail

As a talented, experienced Consultant with 3+years’ experience in developing SAS solutions, your task will be to deliver SAS solutions using a variety of SAS EG (Enterprise Guide), Base SAS, SAS Macros and other SAS products (e.g. SAS DI Studio (Data Integration Studio), SAS Viya, SAS DQ (Data Quality) as per requirements of the client, the project manager or the technical lead. You will have a good proficiency of SAS and polished stakeholder management skills. You will also be responsible for sharing your knowledge with colleagues, and developing junior staff, working with you on site. The client-facing nature of consultancy demands you be willing to travel for work purposes and be happy to stay away from home for extended periods
